ULWC is all about building community and growing queer cultural scene through DJ workshops, mixtape series and parties. The first party Take Back The Night was organized in collaboration with Vilnius Queer Festival Kreivės, and since then the party movement is growing!
Following the party, a dialogue began, showing the need for such events in the local queer communities. The effect spread even further – organizers are happy to see have attracted attention from mainstream nightclub scene, spurring curiosity about building safe spaces in their own environment.
The party doesn’t stop here, club members are already in talks with the communities of neighbouring countries about future plans. The series (party, workshops and mixtapes) have reached around 600-800 people, with around 300 active participants and 15 artistic/social contributors.
