In between August and October, a group of activists in Vilnius set their minds to protecting trees from their city’s municipality’s actions. The activists approached the Emergency Fund in order to obtain funds for materials needed for their NVDA campaign.
The activists engaged in hanging banner drops form the bridges, as well as posting provocative banners in public spaces. It took the authorities a long time to take the installations down, and some are still up.
By being very visible, the activists’ demands reached the publics ranging from the pedestrians to the authorities of Vilnius. Bridge banners stayed up for confirmed two or more days, while posters were still up at the time of reporting.
